Achillea filipendulina 'Cloth of Gold'Achillea filipendulina 'Cloth of Gold' Produces wide flat yellow flower heads during the summer months. Blooming up to 5 feet above aromatic fine-cut fern-like foliage, Cloth of Gold looks wonderful when grown in a mixed border or within prairie-like displays and meadows. It is also useful as a cut flower and can also be dried for everlasting displays. Plant in full sun, in any garden soil, and you will find that this perennial is easy to grow and is drought tolerant. It is also Deer resistant. Height up to 60”. Spread 12” to 28”.

A vigorous deciduous shrub with dark-red stems in spring.Purple flushed green leaves in summer accompanied by small white flowers. Leaves turn red-purple in late summer/autumn accompanied by white berries. Beautiful black-purple stems in winter. Height to 3 metres.

Eupatorium purpureumEupatorium purpureum. A clump-forming perennial with worls of finely toothed purple-tinged mid-green leaves, to 10" in length. Long, stiff stems that are infused with purple grow to 8 feet during the growing season, and are terminated with 6" pink to pinkish-purple flower heads in mid-summer to early autumn. A magnificent statuesque herbaceous perennial. Very strong and reliable. A great tall plant for a windy situation as it will never blow over and so does not need staking.

Geranium cantabrigiense CambridgeGeranium cantabrigiense 'Cambridge'. Geranium cantabrigiense ‘Cambridge’ provides year round ground cover for partial shade and sunny positions, developing into an aromatic, glossy mid-green 6" mound, spreading to 18". Some of the leaves will develop autumnal hues at the end of the season. Cambridge is suitable for planting in rock gardens and the front of borders, in both alkaline and acid, heavy and light soils.

Geranium phaeum albumGeranium phaeum album;. Geranium phaeum ‘album’ produces small ¾” to 1”white pendant flowers with bright yellow anthers above deeply lobed, soft green foliage between late spring and early summer. This herbaceous Geranium is good for growing in any moderately fertile soil in full sun or partial shade and is an ideal plant for damp shady locations. Height 24” to 30”. Spread 18” to 24”

Geranium 'sirak'Geranium 'Sirak'. Sirak forms a bright green mound of deeply lobed leaves during the growing season, which supports lilac-pink flowers with distinct veining that bloom 16 " to 24" above the foliage in June and July. This Geranium will grow in most conditions, although it will perform at it’s best in a well-drained, moist soil in full sun or partial shade. After flowering the foliage can be cut down to allow fresh growth to appear, together with a second spell of blooming in late summer and early autumn.

Hosta albopictaHosta albopicta. A vigorous medium-sized Hosta. The wavy-edged leaves open with a bright cream centre in spring, which will darken to a green during the growing season. This darkening produces an attractive two tone green with the outer green margin. Lilac flowers are produced in June and July and flower on 40" scapes. Plant in a wide range of aspects from dense shade to bright sun. Although best in a damp sitiuation, it will tolerate dry conditions fairly well.

Hosta fortunei 'AureomarginataHosta fortunei 'Aureomarginata' Aureomarginata is an herbaceous perennial making a large clumps of 8 inch heart-shaped or broadly ovate, dark, glossy to olive green leaves, boldly margined with creamy-yellow. Racemes of lavender, bell-shaped flowers are borne on erect stems to 16 inches height during the summer months. Great for a shady or partially shady spot. Can also be used for container planting.

Hosta 'Francee'Hosta 'Francee'. Hosta Francee is a very vigorous, lovely, white-margined Hosta with a slightly puckered olive-green centre, and will spread to form a large clump. Francee enjoys fertile, moist, light to deep shade, and looks good with shade companion plants like Astible and Ferns. Grow in the border or in pots. Do not plant in full sun as the leaves may scorch.

Hosta 'Gold Standard'Hosta 'Gold Standard'. Gold Standard is a mid-sized Hosta that produces large oval greenish-yellow leaves which will gradually change to golden yellow as the season progresses, bordered by a dark green edge. Partial shade is the best position for this Hosta, and sun in the morning is desirable in order to encourage the best colour. Lavender flowers are produced in July. Plant in any moist, humus rich soil and mulch in spring and autumn to maintain moisture levels. Feed in spring.  Drought tolerant. Great for borders and large containers. Gold Standard will reach a height 20 inches and a spread of 3 feet.

Hosta 'Golden Tiara'Hosta 'Golden Tiara'. One of the best small Hostas 'Golden Tiara' develops into a compact clump of 3 to 4 inch of heart-shaped green leaves, edged with cream - yellow, that will spread to 30 inches or more.. Deep - purple flowers are held on stems to 16 inches in July. Golden Tiara is great for the front of borders in a sheltered position, in both full sun and shade, and in a moist well-drained soil. However only plant in full sun if moist conditions are guaranteed as it will not tolerate drought. The leaves will be darker in full shade. Holder of a R.H.S. Award of Garden Merit

Hosta 'Krossa Regal'Hosta 'Krossa Regal'. Krossa Regal is a strong statuesque Hosta. The large, stately, slightly wavy 10" blue-green leaves are held upright above strong scapes. With a height and spread of 28" and 30" respectively, Krossa Regal will make a bold vase-shaped display in the border. Plant out this Hosta in a shady, moist situation for the best leaf colour, and where it will develop a large robust mound. In mid to late summer, pale lilac flowers are held on tall 50" scapes above the foliage. Majestic.

Hosta 'Leola Fraim'Hosta 'Leola Fraim'. Leola Fraim produces 8"x6" medium to dark green cup-shaped leaves, with a white to yellow margin. The margin width does vary from plant to plant, and does seem to be dependent on situation and growing conditions. In midsummer, lavender flowers are produced on 28" stems. Leola Fraim is a strong grower and will clump up well in a shady, moist situation.

Hosta 'Patriot'Hosta 'Patriot'. What a fantastic show this Hosta provides. Patriot is one of the very best white-edged Hostas, and the puckered mid-green 7" leaves appear much darker due to the very white edging. Lavender flowers are produced from July to August.

Patriot is great for planting in large pots or borders where it will form a 18" mound that will spread to about 30".Plant in full sun or shade in any fertile, well-drained moist soil.Feed and mulch in spring, and provide an additional mulch in autumn.

Hosta undulata var. undulataHosta undulata var. undulata. This Hosta develops into a compact 15" to 22" mound, with strongly twisted, wavy-margined, dark green 6" elliptic shaped leaves, with a large, irregular, creamy-white central zone. Light purple flowers are held 30" above the foliage in early summer.

Plant in sheltered partial shade in any fertile, moist, but well-drained slightly acid or neutral soil. Feed and apply a mulch in spring.

Leucanthemella serotinaLeucanthemella serotina. This vigorous late flowering perennial will provide large, bright, daisy-like 3” white blooms with a yellow centre throughout September and October, on stems up to 6’ high. Not only does Leucanthemella provide garden colour late in the season, it is also valuable as a very tall plant that very rarely requires any staking. It will never collapse in the strongest winds and gales. Plant in beds and borders in a moist but well-drained soil, in full sun, although it will tolerate light shade. Great for cutting and for attracting butterflies.

Primula pulverulentaPrimula pulverulenta. This deciduous Primula produces large 12" long mid-green leaves from a central rosette heart. In late spring, whorls of 1" red-purple flowers with darker eyes are majestically dislayed up to 3 feet above the foliage. Primula pulverulenta is one of the best candelabra Primulas. Especially useful for establisment in wet shady areas of the garden. In its native China, it can be found colonizing the wet hillsides of the Sichuan province.

Rodgersia pinnataRodgersia pinnata. A magnificent herbaceous perennial for humus-rich, damp, well-drained, light shady conditions, although it will tolerate all aspects. Large palm-like leaves are produced from spring onwards, and individual leaflets will grow to 8". The early bronze coloured foliage gradually turns green as the growing season moves on. In mid-summer plumes of feathery light pink or cream flowers are displayed 5 feet high above the statuesque foliage. Good for traditional herbaceous and mixed borders where it will form a large clump over time, but would also be a foil for cottage type gardens and flower borders.
