Eupatorium purpureum

A clump-forming perennial with worls of finely toothed purple-tinged mid-green leaves, to 10" in length. Long, stiff stems that are infused with purple grow to 8 feet during the growing season, and are terminated with 6" pink to pinkish-purple flower heads in mid-summer to early autumn. A magnificent statuesque herbaceous perennial. Very strong and reliable. A great tall plant for a windy situation as it will never blow over and so does not need staking.
