Primula pulverulenta

This deciduous Primula produces large 12" long mid-green leaves from a central rosette heart. In late spring, whorls of 1" red-purple flowers with darker eyes are majestically dislayed up to 3 feet above the foliage.

Primula pulverulenta is one of the best candelabra Primulas. Especially useful for establisment in wet shady areas of the garden. In it's native China, it can be found colonizing the wet hillsides of the Sichuan province of China.
